Why Corporate Tax Accountant Matters
A T2 corporate return must be filed within six months of the corporation’s fiscal year end, even if no tax is owed. Most corporations must pay any balance owing within two months of their fiscal year end; many Canadian-controlled private corporations qualify for a three-month payment deadline instead. A corporation’s fiscal year end does not have to be December 31; it is set when the corporation is incorporated and can be changed only under specific conditions.
